In just 36 days “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” (DADT) will be history. As we approach September 20, supporters and allies across the country are looking forward to putting this discriminatory law behind us.
Over the weekend, a friend of SLDN sent us this photo of a sign posted just inside the gates at Naval Air Station Whidbey Island, which is located in the northwest corner of Washington State about 90 miles from Seattle. How refreshing and encouraging it is to have this welcoming and inclusive message posted for all to see.
It got me to thinking: Are there others like this around the country? On or near bases in other parts of the world, even?
