36 Days To Go:  A Picture’s Worth A Thousand Words

DADT BillboardIn just 36 days “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” (DADT) will be history. As we approach September 20, supporters and allies across the country are looking forward to putting this discriminatory law behind us.

Over the weekend, a friend of SLDN sent us this photo of a sign posted just inside the gates at Naval Air Station Whidbey Island, which is located in the northwest corner of Washington State about 90 miles from Seattle. How refreshing and encouraging it is to have this welcoming and inclusive message posted for all to see.

It got me to thinking: Are there others like this around the country? On or near bases in other parts of the world, even?

If you see signs – literal or figurative ones – indicating that the end of DADT is near, take a quick snapshot and send it to me with a caption via e-mail at .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address). We’ll post the best ones here on Frontlines and over on our Facebook page. Or, if you don’t see a sign and you think there should be one in your community, take the lead in making it happen and send us your photo!
