Frontlines: The Latest from OutServe-SLDN

Their Flow Charts

Washington is full of policy wonks who tout their flow charts and heavily researched policy papers that make your head spin. But the visuals from today's press conference in Washington take the cake. Sadly, they aren't even serious policy proposals or potential outcomes. If you believe the charts, the military would absolutely disintegrate.

Here’s our narrative flow chart. It's quite simple really compared to Elaine Donnelly's.

As a practical matter, steps must be taken to implement open service. Defense Department regulations will have to be reviewed and some revised, but tweaking existing regulations is generally direct and straightforward. The services will need to engage in education and training to explain and address the day-to-day practical realities of this new non-discrimination policy. Real leadership within each service will be critical as it was in ending segregation and creating greater parity for women.

Equally compelling is what the services will not have to do, despite the claims of those who don’t want gays in the military. Open service does not create an “affirmative action” requirement in recruiting or promotions to compensate for past discrimination. Open service will not require changes to the military’s system of benefits. Nor will it require changes to the Uniform Code of Military Justice.

Nothing has to be done regarding living arrangements. Gay service members are already integrated in every branch of the military and currently share barracks and berthing areas with their straight peers (including on submarines) without reported problems.

And it will cost nothing to institute a non-discrimination policy. In fact, getting rid of “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” will save the taxpayers millions every year.

That's pretty much it. A period of transition is needed but it can be done calmly, professionally and without flow chart hysterics. How do we, who are experts in military law and in DADT law specifically, know this? We’ve been listening to Admiral Mullen, Secretary Gates and looking at the experiences of other countries that lifted their bans.

Like I said before, I have known many gay ppl and there were alot of them that did multiple partners per night.  Besides where do you get off speaking for all gay ppl.
Since lifetimes were shorter back then a 12 year old was considered fair game for gays and straights, now you are showing your true colors, as that is common high school level. You are willing to lie to me to win this debate, but in reality you are lieing to yourself.

Enumerate #1. Ppl like you live on lies and spread them around.

Can’t you get this straight? Do you believe that the INFINITE UNIVERSE was created by God or did he create things after evolution of the universe? This is a main point between insanity and intelligent. His creating the earth is meaningless to the infinte.
You are talking with a God after evolutionist ressurectionist atheist. I believe in life after death, my kind of belief wasn’t around much in Hilters time.  Eric Von Daniken was the earliest one I have found with a similiar belief, although there is some mention of alien life on planets from one of the early cahtolic martyrs. The only serious group I’ve found is the Raelians but they are not nearby my home for a visit.
All in all you homosexuals are what the Bible calls “lukewarm” You are neither hot nor cold.  At least I can commiserate with the transexuals they are trying to go one way or the other, you gays on the other hand are like warm swill and must be spit out, you foul the clarity of life, you muddy the waters. Revelations 3:16

What else can I say? He wasn’t exactly the kind of person that most gays (read anyone with a brain) would like to associate with. He was a madman. Besides, you missed the point: gay people are absolutely disgusted by shit like that. He was wildly irresponsible in his behavior and should be condemned. You might be interested to know that sexual transmissions actually have the lowest likelihoods of spreading HIV, with sharing needles right up there among the highest. And let’s also not ignore the fact that it is decidedly NOT a gay disease anymore, especially outside the US.

However, as far as destruction goes, I think that atheism is more destructive than homosexuality. Hitler and Stalin were both atheists, and both attempted genocide.

I have studied Greek culture, as a matter of fact; it was part of my main studies in college. While I can’t pretend to know the ages of the soldiers down to the year, I do know that the Greeks wouldn’t include children in an elite fighting squadron.

Please enumerate the ways in which homosexuality is destructive. I’d be interested to see how far anti-gay propaganda has come in recent years.

As for my beliefs on creation, God did create the world in my opinion, but he also let evolution happen.

vanhellslinger in daytona on March 05, 2010 at 11.55 am

This is what happens when the other side can’t come up with an intelligent response. Your best shot is 2,500 sex partners is insane. But you don’t rebuttal the fact that he was instrumental in the spread of the disease.
So now you want to claim you know the exact ages of all the Thebes fighters?
Gay could be destructive if it becomes mainstream in the human population. How would you know otherwise?

I won’t insult your religion, if you really believe the infintie universe was created thats your belief.
I think were done here!  Have a nice day!

Teddy on March 05, 2010 at 11.30 am

Having over 2,500 sex partners is insane, and the vast majority of gay people are disgusted with that kind of behavior. You’re assuming a lot about the gays, in any case. I have never had any desire to visit a bathhouse, just like most gay men. I’ve also never seen anyone having sex in a gay bar.

The Greeks didn’t send children to war, by the way, so the Sacred Band of Thebes wouldn’t have been a raping society. Pederasty I would agree is wrong, but even so, that’s the past, so any arguments about it are invalid according to what you posted, so let’s just drop it.

I’m Roman Catholic, by the way. I’m also a scientist, and your arguments that involve science are fundamentally flawed, since they inject your own personal non-scientific opinions into your arguments. Biologically, homosexuality is simply a variation on the spectrum of sexuality. These variations could be a simple way to control population. Perhaps there is no biological function, but even so, it’s not destructive; I’m healthy, never had an STD, don’t do drugs, and want to have a family someday, whatever that will entail. Speaking of deviations in sexuality, do you define asexuality as a defect too, and the people who are asexual as “freaks” as you have personally described the LGBT community? What about people who choose to not have children? What about irreversibly infertile couples? What about post-menopausal women?

vanhellslinger in daytona on March 05, 2010 at 11.16 am

You gays are the ones with the conspiracy theory mentality, I stick with the mainstream.  Gaetan Dugas a gay man in the early 80’s is infamously known as patient zero for having had OVER 2,500 sex partners and aids was traced to them and him. I was around in the 80’s and was quite a liberal person, I have seen your gay bath houses and big city gay bars, where you can’t even go to the lavatory without seeing a dozen guys blowing each other. Your kind may fool the average person with your soft spoken ways but not me.
In ancient greece it was also commonly known that most gay relationships were between men and boys, pderastry being the greek gay way. So don’t think your gay army of Thebes was anything more than child rapists.
In this ever expanding world of word definitions I have taken the liberty to define a God after evolution, i.e. a godfather from another world. You are probably an atheist and should appreciate the possability of life after death without the creationist fantasy.
Actually as I explained last time, I don’t have anything against you gays personally, I just started posting an opinion online when you gays became politically active with your gay marraige and military rants. As an evolutionist I want to see the biological side of it all, and besides science will eventually eliminate homosexuality. You don’t really believe gays would predesign their infants children to be gay, do you?

Teddy on March 04, 2010 at 09.41 pm

The reason it was called the gay plague IN THE EARLY 80’s was because doctors only thought it existed among gays at first. They were proven wrong. Now the rate in the US is highest among injected drug users and straight women of color.

The only reason I brought up Thebes is because you used it first. If you can use it, so can I.

By the way, an atheist doesn’t believe God exists at all. You’re not an atheist. Batshit insane, yes. Atheist, no. And if you’re so into the Bible, you’d realize that the book of Leviticus (the only part of the Bible that explicitly condemns homosexuality) was only written as the laws of one sect of Judaism, that of the Levites (the meaning of the Latin word Leviticus). In fact, the relationship between David and Jonathan (whose love was “sweeter than that of women” to David) used the language of marriage to describe their relationship.

And one last point: you are the one hating the gays. You picked parts of scripture that support you and ignored the rest, you chose to ignore facts that are readily accessible in the secular world, and you refuse to try and see the issues from a gay perspective. You are the one that is spouting the hate.

vanhellslinger in daytona on March 04, 2010 at 12.36 pm

If we straights and you gays are so equal in our promiscuity then the AIDS plague would never have been named the GAY Plague.
Male aggression added to the gay male =s sick degenerate male agression, the alpha male syndrome added+ to the hegemonic path of gay overpopulation plus any social mutations will create a gay army of evil that has never been seen on earth before.
Your Thebes argument has nothing to do with todays world. it’s just another gay propaganda sicko fantasy.
I believe God is an astronaut king from another world, so I am an atheist. And like Klaatu (the day the earth stood still) his message is strongly antigay. God has love but he also is a lot like Dr. Moreau ( Island of Dr. Moreau) and has strict laws for man. One of the laws he put down is no homosexuality! Since I believe God isn’t the creator of the infinite universe the problem is he/they don’t have time to fool around and will kill every earth being, flesh and sould if we are to much of a problem for them. so it’s not me hating you gays, it’s those people in the flying saucers.

Teddy on March 03, 2010 at 12.20 pm

Devious minds? Your mind and mine are as devious as each other, unless you’re really twisted. If you’re talking about anal sex, there are more straight people engaging in anal sex than gay couples by a VERY wide margin. Also, where do you get the idea that gays will start raping people? Percentage wise, the great majority of pedophiles are married heterosexual males. As for your thoughts on “breeding”, my first child will be of my own blood through a surrogate, one who is very close to me and will always be in our child’s life, even when he or she already has two loving parents who simply happen to be two men.

I have great respect for your forefathers for helping out the slaves. The fact that they were conservative was cool too, but there are also conservative pro-gay people. Don’t ignore that fact.

Your speculations about gays in the the military are extremely off. There is evidence to support the side of love in the Sacred Band of Thebes and none to support torture and abuse. Hate to inform you, but most gay people don’t fantasize about seducing straight guys, or if they do it’s not the primary one, not by a long shot. There wouldn’t be any need to segregate facilities, just as gays don’t have separate locker rooms at gyms. The point of anyone joining in the military is to serve their country and potentially earn cash for college.

What disturbs me about your arguments is that you are trying to make gay people seem like subhuman freaks. If you really consider yourself a Christian (atheist or no), you would never treat someone as unequal to yourself. And as pissed off as you may make me with your homophobic rhetoric, I can only feel sad that you really don’t know the love you claim to profess. I’ll be praying for you.

vanhellslinger in daytona on March 03, 2010 at 11.56 am

DON’T ASK DON’T TELL
The gays really had it made with don’t ask don’t tell, they could eat and sleep with the straight guys, and their ultimate fantasy of seducing a “real man” was always nearby.  With open gay soldiering there will be segregated barracks, dining and training.  Security issues would create new animosities against the gays, a shortage of facilities could time limit usage and stimulate prejudices that don’t exist in the current system.

GAYS CLAIMING CIVIL WAR ERA TYPE DISCRIMINATION

I can’t stand it!  These homosexual degenerates claiming they are the same type of victims as the afro Americans were victims of slavery era racism, is outrageous.  My own great great great grandfather was an abolitionist over one hundred years before the civil war. From the mid 1700’s to the civil war my upstate New York ancestors served the abolition movement and the Underground Railroad.  It was because of their puritanical right wing conservative Christian values, not left wing homosexual degenerate liberalism that they fought to free the black slaves.
The blacks that support gay right sickos today have betrayed the trust given to them by R.W.C.C. right wing Christian conservatives, the true freedom fighters of the civil war.  The claim that New England democrats are the real successors and descendants of puritans and abolitionist Christians is self evident, a lie, as it is easily proved by any general and basic understanding of biblical teachings. It is white liberal homosexuals that have spread this lie, that is the lie of “liberalism equals freedom”. STOP THE GAY LIES! RWCC will not fight to free sexual deviants!
The saddest part of this story is after gay marriage opens the door to gay adoption, and they are no longer in the limelight, then the gay adoption will be a commonplace occurrence, and then the mass rape and exploitation of children will begin, on a scale never seen on this planet before.

vanhellslinger in daytona on March 03, 2010 at 11.49 am

Did I say I believe in intelligent design, creationism?  I’m a atheist ressurectionist christian, I support the theory of evolution 100%. I still believe in life after death thru Gods hand!
Homosexuality in other animals is still a biological dysfunction, they were supposed to be normal and breed but didn’t.
Gays may have existed long ago, but their numbers were kept in check, they were generally not allowed to be politcally active.

Your asking?  Common knowledge- males are more aggressive than females- combined with homosexuality =s really bad aggresive freaks with very dangerous and devious minds.
Sodom and Thebes, you’ll stand by anything positive on your history. Don’t we all! In actuality there isn’t any writings to tell us how much discipline and control was applied to train and develop the Thebians, fo all we know they were tortured to serve and if they didn’t their familes would have been killed, quite a common practice in ancient civilizations.

Teddy on March 02, 2010 at 10.01 pm

Really, vanhellslinger? Last time I checked, intelligent design was just a theory, an idea, no more. As for nature, how do you explain homosexuality in other animals? Also, other countries DO have gays in their armies, as does the US. Gay people and gay couples have existed since the beginning of time in every single society. All we are asking is that we be granted the same legal benefits for our love as you are for yours and that we be able to defend and serve our country without going through the painful denial we are asked of at this point.

Two last points: the Sin of Sodom was always about hospitality (read the rabbinic writings), and the Sacred Band of Thebes was quite successful, since they were fighting to impress the men they loved.

MARRIGE

The gay army of Thebes is a bogus argument.  300 men that were probably tortured to serve hardly represents the American system. Claims that other countries have gays in their military is also bogus, as those kind usually train in the day and sleep at home with the family, we have barracks full of thousands of men and women.

HOMOSEXUAL VAMPIRES ARE TAKING OVER THE WORLD

We are living in earth’s darkest hour, the years, months or weeks preceding Armageddon.  Taking advantage of this horrific time, homosexual vampires are coming out of the closeted grave they have survived in for thousands of years. Using this cloud of darkness that is shrouding humanity the gay vampires are running amuck, sucking out the life blood of billions.  The blood they drink isn’t real blood, but is the life force of thousands of years of culture, history, heritage, religion, and family. They have drained us all of a pint just with this gay marriage quest, and another with a gay military.  As we approach world war the light of reason and sanity is fading from the minds of men who once would have not tolerated homosexual armies on the rise. Now normal men are confused by things like political correctness, technological advancement, diverse happenings, and overpopulation issues, they can’t fix their cell phones let alone understand global warming and gay marriage, and so they stand by idle not knowing what to do or say.
As Mother Nature, the other nature from Gods intelligent design, creates homosexual armies that serve as a cure for world overpopulation, we must ask ourselves, “do we want this cure”?  Do you want nature to fix our problems of population without any input from us?  Is nature creating nonbreeding humans? Do you want homosexual real life vampires draining your humanity and replacing it with a global liberalism that would make us into a planet of the sodomites?  The rise of the new gay armies is evident with their new found political aggression.  Gay marriage and adoption is only the tip of the iceberg, when they are done we may see the reincarnation of Caligula and perversion on every corner of the world.

@ guy:

Unless you imagine that the Pentagon will be letting Elaine Donnelly, Robert Knight, Matt Barber, & Ollie North hide under the beds of every out gay servicemember with Flip video cams [an opportunity for which I’m confidant more than one of them would eagerly pay] in order to produce incontrovertible EVIDENCE, I believe we can save attacking Article 125 of the UCMJ for another day.

With repeal will go the “guilty [of homosexual CONDUCT] until proven innocent” assumption that, in fact, predates DADT.

The sodomy article has rarely been enforced alone for years. Even the late, mentally disturbed chief civilian architect of DADT, Charles Moskos, testified in “United States v. Marcum” that, “as long as prohibitions against sexual conduct on base as well as fraternization remain in effect, decriminalizing sodomy would not harm the military.”

Further, in “Marcum,” the court ruled that “Lawrence v. Texas” [the Supreme Court’s overturn of civilian sodomy bans] could apply to the military, but upheld Marcum’s conviction because his oral “sodomy” was with a subordinate.

In general, over recent years, it has been such contexts of the acts that have moved JAG attorneys to prosecute, not the acts themselves. The term is “prejudicial sodomy,” that is, when the act[s] involved circumstances that were “prejudicial to good order and discipline,” e.g., between an officer and an enlisted soldier or in the barracks where others may have witnessed the act.

Even when pursued and sentences have been imposed they have often been only six months whereas just the conviction of sodomy alone COULD get one five years.

Except when forced to respond when Ma Donnelly & Her Gang tries to use 125 as something to induce the ick reflex and prevent repeal, it is best that our side let sleeping Articles lie.

Bill on February 19, 2010 at 06.45 pm

It appears the homophobic front is going to settle on the term “social experimentation” when it persistently says that now is not the time “to allow social experimentation in the ranks” by ending DADT” (check the links above).  Wherever we see the word “experimentation,” we must point out that ending DADT would not be an experiment at all.  It would be simply be aligning the law to present reality.  If there ever were “experiments” in military sexual orientation equality, they were amply performed years ago by our many democratic allied countries which easily ended their own forms of DADT without disruption or negative consequence.  As for the grandest experiment of all, it is American freedom.  We all know that freedom was very limited when our founding fathers designed our country.  They knowingly put in place a structure that has slowly but successfully over the past 200+ years given freedom and full citizenship to increasing numbers of Americans, racial minorities and women being only the largest groups.  In fact it is the homophobes who are attempting a social experiment to see how long they can sustain a policy that is costly, unjust and counter to the design of our founding fathers.  The homophobes seem to prefer the values and injustices of past centuries (and of many present enemies of America) to those of an evolving modern world.  Given their way, we would probably reinstate witch-burning or worse.

guy on February 19, 2010 at 06.07 pm

“Open service will not require changes to the military’s system of benefits. Nor will it require changes to the Uniform Code of Military Justice.”

? Anti-sodomy article?
