AMERICAblog Spotlights “It Gets Better” Video
Former Navy Petty Officer Third Class, Joseph Rocha, draws on his military experience as a voice of hope for LGBT youth in the University of San Diego (USD) Pride’s recent “It Gets Better” video. Rocha, a veteran and client of SLDN, was fired from the military in 2007 under “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell.” Since his discharge he has worked with SLDN and the repeal coalition to build support for lifting the ban by sharing his story and educating the public about the terrible injustice of this law.
