Lady Gaga Takes Call for Equality to Euro Pride

While performing at Euro Pride in Rome on Saturday, Lady Gaga spoke up about the importance of fighting for LGBT equality:

“I have spoken out all over the world, repeatedly and viciously, about these issues. I'm often questioned, ‘Why so much gayspeak?’ I am often questioned: ‘How gay are you, Lady Gaga? Why is this question, why is this issue so important?’ My answer is: I am a child of diversity, I am one with my generation, I feel a moral obligation as a woman, or a man, to exercise my revolutionary potential and make the world a better place.”

We applaud and thank Lady Gaga for being a true champion and working to ensure justice for all, regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity.

Her relentless passion has inspired millions around the world to take action, underscoring the fact that you don’t have to be gay to care about doing what’s right. Lady Gaga continues to set an example for advocates and allies who stand united in solidarity to make a difference in the advancement of equality.
