Lambda Honors SLDN Ally Bridget Wilson
On Saturday, December 13, Lambda Archives of San Diego will honor attorney Bridget Wilson, along with 11 other "heroes, pioneers and trailblazers" at its annual gala event. Bridget and the other 11 honorees "have committed their lives to advancing rights for gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender people. Their advocacy has carried the movement to heights once unimaginable." We couldn't agree more.
Bridget has been a special friend and ally to SLDN since its founding. And more importantly, she has been a tireless advocate on behalf of all of those who have been affected by "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" and the previous regulatory ban.
We've had the honor of working with Bridget during our time at SLDN. She is not only a veritable encyclopedia on the law, she's also a trusted advisor and tireless advocate for service members impacted by DADT. She's a mentor and teacher, a sympathetic ear and a sounding board -- and most importantly -- a colleague and a friend.
Thank you, Bridget, and congratulations.
