My Experience Interning for SLDN

Daniel HennesseyMy internship with Servicemembers Legal Defense Network is concluding soon, so it’s time to find my successor. I’ve really enjoyed my time here. Having the opportunity to work on such an important issue at such an important time is one of the best ways I could have spent my time this summer.

The commitment and dedication of the staff has been phenomenal, and I’m thrilled to be a part of this team. I’ve been here through some of the most exciting developments in repeal, from the release of the survey to the ongoing battle to prevent the discharge of Lt. Col. Fehrenbach, and with the final Senate vote looming, your time here will surely be just as interesting.

As a Communications Intern, you’ll be working on a whole host of projects, like maintaining this blog, conducting research on DADT issues, and helping coordinate media responses to major developments. During the semester, you’ll probably be in the office at least 10-15 hours a week, depending on the flexibility of your schedule.
