SLDN Continues Pride Booths into Late Summer

June may be the official LGBT month, but SLDN’s participation in Pride events will continue well into the late summer and fall. So far this year, we’ve staffed booths at over 20 events nation-wide. From the sweltering heat and bustle in Columbus, Ohio to a low-key, relaxing afternoon in Casper, Wyoming, SLDN has been crossing the country to spread the news about the status of “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” repeal. You can read about the legal team’s recent visit to San Diego here.

Many events remain for volunteers to get involved. We are always looking for more help at our booths, encouraging passers-by to sign petitions, talking about our organization’s services, and educating supporters about the Congressional fight for repeal. Be on the lookout for e-mails asking for volunteers for the following events, or you can check out the details of all of our events this year on our Pride map: http://bit.ly/bzNgnm

Hope to see you later this summer!
