CW2 Charlie Morgan Visits Capitol Hill. Chief Warrant Officer (CW2) Charlie Morgan visited Capitol Hill on Thursday to share her personal story, including a battle with incurable breast cancer and her fight to secure equal recognition, support, and benefits for her wife Karen and their 4-year-old daughter Casey Elena. CW2 Morgan and Karen are plaintiffs in SLDN's lawsuit on behalf of eight married gay and lesbian service member and veteran couples seeking the same support as their married, straight peers. SLDN Launches Petition Calling on Boehner to Stop Defending DOMA. Following CW2 Morgan's trip to Capitol Hill, SLDN launched a petition calling on Speaker of the House John Boehner (R-OH) to drop his defense of the so-called Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA) via the House Bipartisan Legal Advisory Group.
