SLDN Announces National Search for New Executive Director. This week, SLDN announced the planned departure of Aubrey Sarvis, who has led the organization for more than four years. A national search was launched for a new Executive Director via a designated search committee of the board accompanied by the professional recruitment services of McCormack & Associates. Twentieth Annual National Dinner Details Announced. On Thursday, SLDN announced the first details of the upcoming Twentieth Annual National Dinner, including MSNBC news anchor Thomas Roberts as emcee. In addition, the dinner will serve as the kickoff for a year-long celebration of SLDN's twentieth year of service. To view Thursday's news release, click here. More dinner developments will be announced soon, including the recipient of the prestigious Randy Shilts Visibility Award. Last year's recipient was Lady Gaga.
Launch of Online Toolkit for Veterans Continues to Generate Interest. Last week's launch of an online toolkit to help LGBT veterans who are seeking to upgrade or change their discharge paperwork continues to generate interest in the media and blogosphere.
