Too Busy, Too Tired

We wanted to share this touching message from a military supporter who could not attend our Freedom to Serve rally or National Dinner last weekend. This is a poignant reminder of why we must lift the ban now - so that the 65,000 men and women in uniform who risk their lives for our country every day can have the freedom to serve openly.

"Greetings to SLDN - I've been in the Patriot Circle since SLDN was created in c. 1993-1994 and joined many other concerned American patriots for Lobby Day the previous two years. The only reason I'm not in Washington D.C. this year is because I'm in Iraq. I'm embedded with the military as a federal government civilian. We work every day, 0730-2100. It's very intense, but in a good way. Nobody cares about anything other than work. It's not an issue. People are too busy and too tired. Keep up the fight!"
