Veterans Too team raises visibility at the Army Ten-Miler

The Veterans Too team took the Army Ten-Miler by storm! Our ten Veterans Too runners performed very well on the beautiful route stretching from the Pentagon to the Capitol and back. Our team t-shirts calling for the repeal of "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" elicited great comments from other Army Ten-Miler participants. Folks engaged our team members in discussion on the need to lift the ban and were overwhelmingly supportive of changing the law. I am not much of a runner myself, so I had the pleasure of cheering our runners on and snapping photos at the finish line. My favorite shot is in this post: Thanks go to SLDN's fellow team organizers, the Human Rights Campaign, the National Gay and Lesbian Task Force, the Log Cabin Republicans, the Liberty Education Forum, People for the American Way, the Unitarian Universalist Association of Congregations, and PFLAG, for their collaboration in organizing the Veterans Too team. -Jill Raney
