Who’s Your Hero?
In celebration of its 40th anniversary, the LGBT newsmagazine The Advocate is asking readers to log on and vote for their top 40 LGBT heroes. The editors have a list of 100 contenders already compiled, and you can add your own nominee as well. (Of special note to SLDN supporters will be Colonel Margarethe Cammermeyer, an SLDN advisory board member and Leonard Matlovich, a highly decorated Vietnam War veteran who 'came out' on the cover of Time magazine.)
