Doonesbury Focuses on DADT, Character Comes Out
Just a few weeks after the repeal of “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell,” the ban on gay and lesbians serving openly in the US military, Roz from the popular comic Doonesbury came out as a lesbian to her army sergeant Melissa Wheeler, her mother and other members of her unit all in the past few days.
