Media Availability for “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” Hearings

What: The Senate Armed Services Committee is scheduled to hold its first hearing in 17 years on the repeal of “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell.”

Where: Room G-50 of the Dirksen Senate Office Building

Who: Servicemembers Legal Defense Network is a national, non-profit legal services and policy organization dedicated to ending “Don't Ask, Don't Tell.” Available for interviews are:

Aubrey Sarvis, SLDN Executive Director

David Hall, former U.S. Air Force Staff Sergeant who was discharged under “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell”

Major General Dennis Laich (Ret.). The last 14 consecutive years of his 35 years of service were in command positions at the full Colonel through two star level including joint command.

Jon Soltz, co-founder and chair of VoteVets.org, who served as a Captain during Operation Iraqi Freedom from May-September 2003.
