NPR: Is It Time To Change ‘Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell’?

It has been 15 years since the enactment of the military's "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" policy, which prohibits gay men and women serving in the armed forces from disclosing their sexual orientation. Congress recently held hearings about the efficacy of the policy — and whether it is time for "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" to be changed or repealed.
