SLDN Statement on Senate Hearing

It is welcome news to the 65,000 LGBT service members serving in silence that the first Senate hearing on “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” is being scheduled for later this month. Chairman Carl Levin’s  (D-Mich.) statement is another positive step and indication Congress recognizes the time for action has come. The chairman appreciates the sense of urgency around the government continuing to fire qualified patriots.
