This Thursday: Hearing on President’s Point Person for 2010 Repeal of “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell”
Thursday, Nov. 19, 9:30 a.m.

What: Confirmation hearing for Marine General Clifford Stanley (Ret.), who has been nominated by President Obama to be Undersecretary of Defense for Personnel and Readiness, the position that historically handles “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” within the Pentagon. Since the President came into office, the position has been vacant. SLDN is tentatively optimistic about what Dr. Stanley’s nomination could mean for repeal next year.

When: Thursday, November 19, 9:30 a.m.
