| Despite opponents attempts to undermine the professionalism and tact in which the U.S. military would be able to handle the repeal of “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” (DADT), Tuesday will come and go, and service members will put on their uniform and report to duty as usual. Some gay service members will come out; most will not. After all, being in the military is defined by the commitment you make to this country - not by whether you are gay or straight. And fortunately, as shown by obstacles it has faced since its inception, our military is more than capable of moving forward in a positive direction after a change.
