Governance Policy: Data Protection

OutServe-SLDN obtains, compiles and uses in its normal course of business, lists and databases of names, addresses, and other personal information concerning supporters and individuals interested in the activities of the organization.  The confidentiality of such data must be maintained and protected.  OutServe-SLDN will not exchange, rent nor sell any such data, lists or derived reports unless given express, specific permission by the listed individuals.  Technological tools such as firewalls, strong passwords, etc will be employed to protect such databases from inadvertent release.
