CMSgt David Lee Gainer, USAF (Ret.)

SLDN Board - Dave Guy GainerDave Guy-Gainer is a retired Air Force veteran of 23 years. His military career in secure communications systems took him to many locations and many key Air Force positions ranging from Combat Communications with several months in Vietnam as a young airman, to a second, full tour in Vietnam, to being a combat crew member at NORAD Cheyenne Mountain, to Maintenance Superintendent at Hickam AFB Hawaii, and finally retiring as a Chief Master Sergeant at the Air Force Military Personnel Center in San Antonio in 1990. Among his decorations are five Meritorious Service Medals and the Bronze Star.

He is a former national vice-president of American Veterans for Equal Rights and is a past co-chair of the SLDN Military Advisory Council (MAC). Dave graduated from Texas Lutheran College with a BA in Financial Management and from the University of Southern California with an MS in Systems Management.

Dave is married to David Wayne Guy-Gainer both via the traditional commitment ceremony and by the City of San Francisco.
