Paul Alan Boskind, Ph.D.

Dr. Boskind has no military service background but he has been a major donor and supporter of SLDN since 2001 when he attended a fundraiser in San Antonio and learned about the legal and counseling services provided by SLDN to thousands of military personnel. Boskind served on the SLDN National Development Committee and felt privileged to attend SLDN Board Meetings which fostered greater gay rights advocacy determination, including several lobbying sessions on Capitol Hill with SLDN's 'Lobby Days'.

As CEO and founder/owner of Deer Oaks-A Behavioral Health Organization, Dr. Boskind employs psychologists across 17 states and his company provides Employee Assistance Program Services (EAP) nationwide. He is a clinical psychologist with a Ph.D. from Hofstra University in New York. In addition, he has well developed enterpreneurial skills with diverse interests including ownership and management of several restaurants, a grocery store, a dinner theatre, a hotel, and special event venues.

Boskind is also a major supporter of The Gill Foundation, Human Rights Campaign, Victory Fund, Michael Palm Center, Point Foundation, and Equality Texas.
