Smith, Judson, former Airman First Class, U.S. Air Force (1999-2002)

Judson Smith is 25 years old and originally from Potosi, Missouri. He joined the Air Force in 1999 and was an Honor Graduate of the United States Air Force Basic Military Training and the Louis F. Garland Fire Academy. He was stationed in Florida at Patrick AFB with the 45th Space Wing Space Shuttle Support Team as a Firefighter/Paramedic.

His commanders found out he was gay by an anonymous email they received which then started an improper investigation. Even after over forty letters of support from his immediate co-workers and supervisors that were given to his Unit Commander/Base Commander, he was released from duty and received an honorable discharge in March of 2002.

He has completed all training in the civilian sector to be a Flight Paramedic and is currently in his senior year of college at the University of Phoenix to obtain a BS in Business Administration. Judson currently works in Maitland, FL, "a suburb of Orlando" as a Firefighter/CCEMTP Preceptor, and also work part time for Orlando Regional Medical Center as a Critical Care Transport Paramedic.
